Cocoa Farm

Today, we visited Tetteh Quarshie’s cocoa farm-which was the first ever! We learned the fermentation process of cocoa beans. We also got to taste the bean before it was fermented (it tasted like citrus) and then we tried the bean after. It was extremely bitter-which made me think of how much sugar is added to chocolate. It was also cool to see how much work goes into making chocolate.DSC00072
